Introduction

The FullMetrics Analyzer system is a complete hardware and software solution for troubleshooting, optimizing and profiling processes and machinery. The system works by acquiring and analyzing data from a variety of signal sources, often referred to as a "high-speed, multi-function DAQ" system. What sets the FullMetrics Analyzer apart is its fast flexibility from application to application, its intuitive ease-of-use, powerful data analysis functions, and unrivaled portability.

Fast Flexibility
The FullMetrics Analyzer is arguably the fastest adapting system available in addressing changing signal conditions from one application to the next. In both hardware and software, the system was designed to reduce the time requirements for setup.

FullMetrics Analyzer utilizes high quality signal isolation and conditioning modules for the best signal integrity possible. However, in other systems, these modules are typically installed in a manner that does not lend itself to changing them out easily. Our system provides eight hot-swappable, fast loading FullMetrics Module Slots. Each FullMetrics module holds two 7B series signal conditioning modules, providing two independent channels per slot for a total of 16 channels of nearly any type required.

Intuitive Ease-of-use
The FullMetrics Analyzer software has been developed for the end user. Simply put, this means no coding, connecting diagrams and arcane block symbols, no debugging, no interface building, no mathematics checking. The graphical interface provides the means to define system configurations, acquire data, and setup powerful analysis functions. All without having to develop your own run-time application.

From setup and calibration to profile analysis and SPC charting, the software provides a straight-forward intuitive design to get under way quickly. This directly effects your time spent on the project itself instead of spending your time trying to put a system together from scratch. With the FullMetrics Analyzer, setting up doesn't need to be an expensive full-blown project in its own right.

Data Analysis Functions
Imagine being able to create complex conditional calculations for data using an extremely intuitive interface, without having to recompile your program. The FullMetrics Analyzer allows the user to very quickly and easily create both Formulas (for plotting derivatives and more) and Computations (for SPC) within the main application.

Portability
There is perhaps no other full-featured multi-function DAQ system that is so uniquely designed for portability. Offered in two hardware versions, the DirectConnect Analyzer model has a size and shape nearly identical to that of a folded notebook computer. What's more, the DirectConnect Analyzer takes international mobility to the max with built-in, auto-sensing power supply and CE approval. Check out the Hardware Options page for more information about the various models of the FullMetrics Analyzer.

  • Completely end-user designed.
  • No interface building or software development.
  • Create complex Formulas and Computations, which are then automatically performed on incoming data.
  • Powerful trace analysis functions and viewing options.
  • Save reference profiles and superimpose to compare to current readings.
  • Store call-out annotations in the Profile Analyzer display to share information.
  • Exchange FullMetrics Analyzer databases.
  • Export both trace and statistical data.
  • Built-in statistical charting with advanced options and run tests.
  • Record attributes or other data alongside acquired data for analysis and correlation.
  • Generate outputs to multiple user-defined conditions.
  • Schedule by date and time to acquire data when your not there.
  • View multiple SPC charts in real-time.

Applications
Although originally designed for plastics processors in 1994, the FullMetrics Analyzer has grown to become an outstanding and cost-effective tool for a wide variety of applications. While built around cyclical process analysis, the system is perfectly capable of collecting and analyzing data for continuous processes as well. Here are just a few of the types of applications for which our customers utilize the FullMetrics Analyzer.
  • Process optimization and cycle time reduction.
  • Process prototyping for new production runs, new machines, new materials, or new methods.
  • Material testing.
  • Machine profiling and consistency testing, especially when considering a new purchase.
  • Troubleshooting & diagnostics.
  • Proof-of-process & documentation. Prove to your customers and prospects the degree of quality they can expect.
  • Statistical correlation between process data and part attributes.
  • Automated feedback (output) on process condition.
