Statistical Analysis

The FullMetrics Analyzer includes an integrated, real-time SPC charting window and a parameters spreadsheet to review raw Computational data. Using these tools, the characteristic trends can be ascertained using accepted statistical process control methods.

SPC Charting Features Hit List

  • Entirely new SPC charting software for version 2.5.
  • New faster interface using drop-down menus to select parameters, chart type and subgroup size.
  • Apply button for selections also provides feedback to indicate currently active selections.
  • New view modes: All, Float, Track. (see below)
  • Now open multiple SPC charting windows.
  • Re-sizable chart quadrants.
  • More information in the report quadrant.
  • Quick access to the new streamlined Options window.
  • Graphic indicators for control and warning limits.

All New Interface
Version 2.5 introduces completely rewritten statistical analysis software for the FullMetrics Analyzer. This includes the areas of SPC charting as well as the Computations and Attributes data array. This new software brings a streamlined, more efficient and more informative interface, along with a few new tools.

Selection Menus
Version 2.5 introduces menus for fast chart selections. The parameter menu presents all of your computations and recorded attributes. Chart types include X-chart, X-bar, X-bar Range, Process Capability (histogram), and Scatter diagram.

New View Modes
All new view modes allow you to target in on your data as required. Modes include:

  • All - this mode displays all data in the charting window, from the first shot to the last shot during live data acquisition.
  • Float - allows you to zoom in and scroll to a particular range of data in the chart. Your targeted range remains unchanged as new data is collected.
  • Track - allows you to zoom in to a desired zoom degree while the display constantly moves the range to keep up or "track" with new incoming data. Your defined focus range always tracks with the most recent range of data.

Examples - Scatter & Resizing

Analysis Options
Options for SPC charting are now presented in a single, streamlined dialog.

Curve Fit selections offer a wide range of types to fit your needs, including options for Fast Approximation or no curve fit.

Choose your basis for process capability sigma from process, sample, or population.

You can set your own sigma value for both control and warning limits, allowing greater freedom in applying the best analysis for the situation.

Control limits may also be based on limit values stored with computations or you may enter values directly. Auto-drop automatically discards flyers from the chart analysis.

Enter specification limits for reference and comparison.

Run Tests
Select the Run Tests to apply to your data. Subgroups that fails any test will be circled in the charting display. Each test failed will be reported in the pop-up report for the subgroup. All of up to eight selected Run Tests are applied to live data as well. Click the image at right for a full-size screen shot and to review the test types.

Computations & Attributes Data Array
This spreadsheet-style view offers a look at the entire collection of calculated and recorded statistical data. This includes all results for computations and attributes.

Attributes are simply any data that you may want to add manually such as measurements or even short notations regarding an event or condition in the project. If your entering numerical data for each shot, you can even analyze attribute data in the SPC chart window.

The C&A data array also lets you designate or "mark" specific shots that are to be ignored by the SPC charting function in order to avoid skewing the results. The spreadsheet also allows you to select cells to copy and paste to other applications.
